MY STORY
I've been where you are

I grew up being told to clean my plate before I could leave the table. Dieting was modeled for me early on, too. It was just part of how the women around me ate and talked about their bodies.
That pattern followed me right into grad school. There I was, studying to become a dietitian, and stuck in my own cycle of overeating and using food to cope.
I'd wake up telling myself today would be different. By evening, I was right back there.
What changed was getting help and finally seeing my own patterns. I had years of food rules and dieting messages shaping how I ate, and I'd never stopped to look at them. Along the way, I realized food wasn't the enemy. It was a way to take care of myself.
These days, I eat when I'm hungry instead of pushing past it. Food nourishes me, helps my body, and tastes good. And it doesn't have power over me anymore.
That's why I do this work. I want other women to feel that same freedom.
